How can we help?

Encrypted vault recovery
Recover access without sharing your vault password.
Knight Note offers two independent recovery paths. Start with your personal recovery kit. If you do not have one, support may be able to help when the vault already contains a managed recovery envelope.
Self-service
Use your personal recovery kit
- On the locked-vault screen, choose Use personal recovery kit.
- Select the kit created for this vault and enter its separate kit password.
- Choose a new vault password, regain access, and store the updated credentials safely.
The kit and its password must have been stored separately before the lockout.
Assisted recovery
Request verified support help
- On the locked-vault screen, choose Create support recovery request.
- Start a support request without pasting the exported JSON into the form. Support will verify the request and explain the approved file-transfer step.
- Import the returned unlock file, enter the separately delivered temporary password, then set a new vault password.
The exported request contains encrypted recovery metadata, not your password or readable notes.
